An industry leading modular tubing company with over 90 years of experience in 6 international locations is seeking individuals to join our US Operations team located in Memphis, Tennessee. Our US division, which has been in operation for over 20 years, is accepting applicants for the following position:
SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Worker I employee will perform a variety of tasks associated with the production or distribution of the various parts and products. They will also be tasked with operating all equipment safely and use safe work habits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB FUNCTIONS
Manufacturing – Seam Welding
· Tack weld steel tabs to each end of the rolled item using the MIG welding process.
· Fully weld the open seam of items by guiding the torch head along the seam by manipulating the machine controls. This is by means of a TIG welding process.
· Inspect the seam of each item welded for defects on both the exterior and interior of the item.
· Through training be able to determine appropriate action steps regarding any defects potentially found after the welding process. i.e. welding the seam again, adjusting welding amperage according to the reviewed item.
· Place the welded item into a rack once completed, transport full racks of items to the next production station.
· Assist in the daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks for the station.
Manufacturing – Flanging
· Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece, using hand tools or an electric grinder after the welding process.
· Perform the set up for the various flanging machines for the specific item to be flanged.
· After inspection from the Manufacturing Supervisor operate the flanging machine producing the item within the given tolerance.
· Load/Unload the processed part from the flanging machine.
· Measure work piece dimensions, using measuring instruments to determine accuracy of machine operation.
· Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines, inspecting dies, or other pre‐operational steps.
· Assist in the daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks for the station.

· Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
· Ability to lift on a repetitive basis up to 75 pounds; for a two‐person team up to 150 pounds.
· Certified forklift driver preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, walking, stooping, handling, heavy lifting, assembling, machine operating and welding of materials, 100% of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse and manufacturing operation; some exposure to paint fumes, hot and cold weather, and physical exertion.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalence Certificate is required; previous work‐related experience in an industrial setting is required, specific job knowledge to this position applied for is preferred; or successful completion of Company sponsored apprenticeship program is required. Welding experience is preferred.

· Choice of two medical plans, with company paying 50% of the premium. Insurance for employee paid in full by company includes, dental, long term disability, life and accidental life. Insurance begins 30 days from date of hire after first day of month, if you choose to enroll. (pretax)
· Insurance for dependents 100% by employee. Employee’s portion is paid by payroll deduction. (pretax)

· 120 Paid time off hours (PTO). Prorated for start date. PTO is on an accrual system of 1/10 per month Jan – Oct.
· 401K‐eligible after six months. $2000 or 6% of contributions matched per year. Whichever is greater.

SALARY INFORMATION
This is an hourly non‐exempt position meaning overtime pay is available should the company deem it necessary. Overtime work may be requested at the last minute and may be mandatory.
SHIFT SCHEDULE
· Tuesday through Friday (Four 10‐hour day shift)
· 5:00am to 4:00pm, lunch period 10:00am to 11:00am
· Annual Salary: $15.75 per hour/$32,760 yearly
