Joi Taylor

Joi Taylor is the Choose901: Alumni Program Founder and Director where her passion for her community results in connecting, championing and equipping alumni from 6 partner schools to real opportunity in the city of Memphis. Her days are spent strategizing and implementing initiatives to move our alumni forward in the city to claim their rightful positions as owners, visionaries and leaders in Memphis. Joi Taylor is a lifelong Memphian who truly loves and believes in the power of her city and it’s residents. She graduated from The University of Memphis where she studied Social Work and minored in Spanish in hopes to become a real change agent in the economic and community development world of Memphis. She has been an advocate for quality education opportunities for the state of TN and a strong proponent to help solve chronic homelessness in Memphis. Joi has had the opportunity to serve on various boards and councils and be recognized as Memphis Flyer’s Top 20 under 30 class of 2020.

Travis Tinnin

Travis is the Talent Director with Choose901 and works to create diverse and equitable talent pipelines for Memphis employers. Travis spends his days playing middle man by connecting Choose901: Alumni and our city’s employers and providing career insights for young talented Memphians. Travis brings years of economic development, educational programming, and community-building experience together to help make Memphis workplaces more just and joyful. Travis is a native Oklahoman who calls Memphis home alongside his wife, Kalin, and daughter, Kennedy. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, is a graduate of the New Memphis Embark program, and a strong advocate of mentoring communities, especially through STREETS Memphis, LITE Memphis, and Choose901: Alumni. When he’s not talking talent strategies, you can find Travis DJing at venues around the city, on the nearest municipal golf course, or spending time with his girls.

Keenan Lowery

Keenan Lowery is a Memphis-native working as an Alumni Coordinator with Choose901. Keenan’s role centers Choose901: Alumni as the future of Memphis, and bringing about their highest potential by creating authentic community, career development, and constant friendship. Keenan is a friend, brother, mentor, advisor, accountability partner and whatever title is needed to help see Choose901: Alumni flourish. Keenan takes the lead on working with Memphis-Based Choose901: Alumni, so hit him up if you want to chat!

Keenan kept Memphis close to his heart as he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Lane College in Jackson, TN where he was SGA President, and named a White House HBCU All-Star under the Obama Administration. Keenan is currently pursuing his Master’s degree before pursuing law school, and is a recent graduate of Leadership Memphis Fast Track Program. Keenan was raised by his mother, grandmother and five sisters in North Memphis Memphis. He’s an avid reader, an avid golfer, a traveler and is the first to play Yo Gotti & J. Cole on the aux. Keenan’s favorite quote is: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” -Aristotle

Jasmine leavy

Jasmine Leavy is an Alumni Coordinator with Choose901 who brings empathy, passion, and gratefulness to her work. She joins our team as an actual Choose901: Alumni by way of The Soulsville Charter School after graduating in 2015. She attributes the support given from the Alumni Program as one of the main driving forces which propels her to support the dreams and aspirations of young Memphians. She makes powerful connections via communicating by phone, traveling to various cities to see alumni, and host events with her teammates. Jasmine’s determination to support alumni is evident in her eagerness to use relational recruitment to genuinely connect and get young people to choose Memphis as the city to live, work, and grow.

Jasmine was born and raised in Memphis and she graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her tenure at Spelman, she acquired a love for creative writing as she completed internships at Elsevier in Boston and The Association of American Publishers, as well as being chosen to attend the 2019 UNCF Student Leadership Conference. Jasmine is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc. In her spare time, you can find her in the kitchen whipping up a good ole home cooked meal.
